Music production is the process of developing, creating and refining recorded music for public presentation.
Music producers, are the people behind every new Pop or Hip Hop tracks you hear on the radio today. They are extremely popular, sometimes that they are more talked about than the artists themselves. This is because most music created nowadays uses digital software and requires original ideas to stand out.
A music producer can have several different roles depending on the genre of music and the type of workflow. Thanks to today’s technology, music production is more accessible than ever before.

In this course, students learn key music production concepts and learn how to create/modify sounds and even program drum beats and patterns. The entire process of making digital music is explored in-depth with creativity and creation at the centre. Students will learn all about music production and create their own music while developing audio production skills. This course teaches students the technical and creative skills of electronic music production.
Topics covered include beat production, audio recording, MIDI programming, wavetable synthesis, creative sampling, mixing and mastering.
