Design, build and program a real robot using sensors, controllers and actuators. With so many variations to choose from, the possibilities are limited only by the students’ imagination!
HOW DOES EACH SESSION WORK
Students have access to a large number of robotic kits with varying levels of complexity.
The course will follow the structure below, but students are welcome to jump to a higher level if they are familiar with the basics
Introduction to the concept of robots
Create 2D and 3D robots
Familiarisation with standard components
Introduce standard programming languages
Build and program robotic kits
Create new robots from base components
Introduce custom behaviour
Students are encouraged to work from home where, if in doubt they get assistance from centre supervisors. Students can post their questions and queries on our collaboration platform where those get answered by other students or Centre Supervisors.
DURATION AND WHEN TO START
Each session lasts an hour and the course is taught one day a week. The content of each session builds on the previous one, and allows for students to practice various concepts at home.
Students can enrol at any time and based on their skill level we provide a number of session timings to choose from that will work for you.
